I've found that when I use the 2.4 kernel and ipx_configure --auto_primary=on --auto_interface=on
It causes a network broadcast storm, appearently because our novell server uses only the 802.3 frame type. When auto_interface brings up 802.2 all hell breaks loose. I need to set up IPX like this on my system: ipx_interface add -p eth0 802.3 After that I have no problem finding the novel server I'm mounting.
