I am new to NIS so bare with me. I have create to
NIS servers, both of which are Sun (Solaris 2.7). I have numerous Red Hat
clients (a mix of 7.0, 7.1 and 7.2).
Authentication/NFS/etc.. is all working fine. Here
is what I am trying to do now.
I want to use netgroups to control access to
various servers. I understanded the syntax of a netgroup, ie:
mygroup (host, user, domain)
However, how do I configure a specific server to
only accept users from a specific netgroup? The server itself is an NIS
client.
The O'Rielly book was kind of weak on it's coverage
of netgroups and I just spent the better part of an hour looking through google
for online resources.
