If the person would just BOTHER to try the web site online doco first, it 
would be nice (flowery? :-)  Then, if he/she simply said, "I TRIED looking 
at the web docs, but it didn't work or I couldn't understand them", well, 
that's a different story.  Then you can get specific with them: "What 
didn't you understand?..."  Then everyone can continue being nice and the 
problem may even be solved.  (Well, the computer might then work as 
intended, but the "problem" may still exist ;-(
