If the person would just BOTHER to try the web site online doco first, it would be nice (flowery? :-) Then, if he/she simply said, "I TRIED looking at the web docs, but it didn't work or I couldn't understand them", well, that's a different story. Then you can get specific with them: "What didn't you understand?..." Then everyone can continue being nice and the problem may even be solved.
