The parted home page has a table that clearly shows what kinds of actions
you can perfome on each kind of partition. I found this out by going to
Google <http://www.google.com/> and typing in "gnu parted". The first
result was the parted home page. It took me all of ten minutes to find the
answer to your question. I seem to remember posting the URL to the page
yesterday.
