is there a simple way (probably involving "hwclock") to see
whether the HW clock is set to localtime or UTC? (short of
rebooting, that is)
i would have thought the hwclock command would show that, but
the --show option states that the time is always is shown in local
time, even if the hw clock is UTC.
i also ran "hwclock --debug" and saw the line
Hardware clock is on UTC time
which i thought answered the question, until i read the next line
Assuming hardware clock is kept on UTC time.
so ... any hints?
