Hi, My grub.conf tells nothing about raid1... I'm sorry but I don't understand what do you mean about bootable raid1... I'm on rh7.2, look for `find / -name '*raid*'` results to have some sample, tools... And I'm afraid that I am not enough experimented to help you.
