When I try to log on with /usr/sbin/pppd it dials and logs on and then I hear a 'click' and the modem disconnects about 10 seconds later. Does anyone know why? Other times it dials and you hear different modes of static for 30 seconds and then it gives up. It says 'no carrier'. What is this refering to?
