Hi Colleges
As a regular member of this list, I know this subject does not belong here,
but since I am not with any other list, I hope somebody would help me with
these unknown problems.

I tried to install a script found on Internet on my Linux RH 4.1 (2.0.32) at
root directory. I gave some permissions to that application and change
'access.conf' file for Web server. After that I could not run some
applications like:
pine (I get:"Your terminal of type"dump"is lacking function needed to run pine")
pico (I get: "Incomplete termcap entry")
mc (I get: "Terminal not powful enogh for SLang")
lynx (I get: "Your terminal type is unknown")

When I give 'shutdown -r 0' I have to be in '/sbin' directory. The path is
lost too.

I have erased that application and returned to the old 'access.cong'. But
the system stays like above. All permissions are OK , PPP works and
everything should be like it used to be. But I just can not find the cause
for the above problems, and how to solve that.

Could you suggest me, how to overcome this situation. Any comments would be
appreciated.

Thanks for your time

Regards
Zdrav
