I've been playing around w/ Minicom/pppd for a while now and have really
narrowed down my problem. Here is what I do, exactly, just do you dont
try and help me w/ my problem by telling me to do something I already
do:
execute minicom...
ATDTnum-ber
...Login: bla
Password: bla
it starts to say some crap and then before it streams the PPP jibberish
I ctrl+a q out.
pppd -d defaultroute /dev/modem (yes it is linked to cua3) 19200 &
Basically, it makes me think I'm online and all, and then in a couple of
seconds my modem hangs itself up. So I checked /var/log/messages...and
it says something about ppp0 <-> /dev/modem or something, then the very
next line is "LCP: timeout sending Config-Requests"
I have no idea what that is or how to fix it, could someone PLEASE
help!?
