Hi Jeff
There are a few steps here.
Firstly, unmount the existing volume, rename the logical volume, create the
new mount point and then mount the volume.
# umount /oraAPP/CRM91QA
# lvrename syslvg/CRM91QA syslvg/CRM91PD
# mkdir /oraAPP/CRM91PD
# mount /dev/mapper/syslvg-CRM91PD /oraAPP/CRM91PD
Hope that helps.
Mark

Subject: Newbie Disk Question
I have a disk device that is mounted. How do I change the name
of the device?
For example:
/dev/mapper/syslvg-CRM91QA 14449712 167032
13548680 2% /oraAPP/CRM91QA
Needs to be:
/dev/mapper/syslvg-CRM91PD 14449712 167032
13548680 2% /oraAPP/CRM91PD
Thanks for any suggestions
Jeff
