um, yeah, you meant me, Ralph, John, not Ray.
Did you get that?

20 years younger, huh?
I'm having trouble with that.
Mostly my problem.
Good for you.

You mean, John.

I'm married to a woman from Brookline, ma.

        Ray,

You know I'm married to a woman 20 years younger than I am, but
she's not Latina. She's a Michigander.

And as for Cubans, always go with a Cohiba. They are simply the
best cigar available.

                Hi All,
Ray told me to go back and look at one of my messages.
Yikes. It was bad. And many would counsel me to not
try to explain it in that it may just make it worse. But here it is
anyway.

I've run across many Latino peoples lately. It may be
my attraction to futbol (soccer) or it may simply be that there are more
here nowadays. I've taken the opportunity to brush up on my Spanish as
I attempt conversation with them. I have respect for those who've come
here and work hard and I enjoy the conversations I've had with them.
I'm newly single again and contemplating more children with a good woman
at some point. Being that I don't really care about race, I've dated
women from 4 different Spanish speaking countries in addition to
American women. Race does not matter at all while being a responsible
mother to my child is most important.

I should not have connected Manny and the woman I dated
in the manner I did. It was unfair to both and I'm very sorry. The
only connection I meant was that, of all the Spanish speaking people
I've met in my life, the most difficult dialect to understand is
Dominican. That's all. My date was young, intelligent, beautiful, and
nice. I should not have let my recent animosity toward Manny spill over
onto her. My hearing impairment the frustration of a loud restaurant
combined to put me a bad mood when I wrote that e-mail. And, I was
feeling weird about dating someone so young. Again, my problem and
nothing to do with race.

So, that's my lame explanation, though true. It's my
problem if I can't hear well and don't understand a given dialect. I
was wrong to write what I did and I'm both embarrassed and humbled by
this.

                But those Cubans ....

                okay okay, I'm kidding.
