Weaker top of the order, but pitching 1-5 is better, on average, than the Sox. Better middle relief. Paps is the better closer.
Catcher is hands down better than Tek. Third base: Longoria is better too. I'll take Youk over Pena, despite Pena's power numbers. Pedroia is better, too. No argument here. I said so back in May. They've got great starting pitching and a strong nucleus of homegrowns. They certainly hit paydirt with Pena but at this point he's a complimentary player. I'm not sure if they're more talented. But they are younger and healthier. Some of our guys are hitting the wall in Jim Rice fashion. This team is getting old fast.
