Weaker top of the order, but pitching 1-5 is better, on average, than
the Sox. Better middle relief. Paps is the better closer.

Catcher is hands down better than Tek. Third base: Longoria is better
too. I'll take Youk over Pena, despite Pena's power numbers. Pedroia
is better, too. Outfield is probably a push, but Rays are younger and
getting better.

No argument here. I said so back in May. They've got great starting
pitching and a strong nucleus of homegrowns. They certainly hit paydirt
with Pena but at this point he's a complimentary player.

I'm not sure if they're more talented. But they are younger and
healthier. Some of our guys are hitting the wall in Jim Rice fashion.
This team is getting old fast.

The Rays future is bright for the next 2-4 years until payroll concerns
hit.

I think the Rays are the better team. I also think they will compete in
the AL East for a while. Its good for baseball.

I blame Francona for bringing in/taking out [fill in pitcher's name
here] way too early/late.

I said this in 04 so I'll dare to repeat myself under
the circumstances - one game at a time. We just need to win the next
game. We have D-K, Beckett and Lester with nothing to lose and pressure
on Tampa to close it out. We can do this...

I had full confidence they could come back from 3-1 down
to Cleveland last year. I have no such confidence this year. The hitters
are not hitting. The pitchers are getting pounded relentlessly. It just
doesn't look good.
