Well, two outcomes from last night's season-ending game: There should be no clamoring to resign Tek at all to a long-term deal. Maybe a year, then he can start what I'm sure will be a long career as a manager.
Also, for all you Tito defenders, I think you saw his limitations this post season. Enough about how he manages the post season differently. Now, its not all his fault. The front office left him high and dry in a couple of key spots. Enough about this year; how to fix the team for next year (and beyond)? Tek gets replaced. Not sure who yet, but you can't have that huge hole in your line up. Lowell goes, too. We need contingency plans in case Papi is through. Youk to third? Keep him at first? What are the markets for 3rd and 1st base? Anyone else uncomfortable going into next year with Lowrie and Lugo as the only two candidates at short? Outfield can remain as is. Get some middle relief! Timlin and Byrd are gone. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] <[email protected]> To: [email protected] <[email protected]> Sent: Mon Oct 20 06:34:46 2008 Subject: Re: Game 7 There's no need for profanity.
