chain between any two players:

Sox
Exclude David Wells
David Wells played with Phil Niekro for the 1987 Toronto
Blue Jays
Exclude Phil Niekro
Phil Niekro played with Ed Sadowski for the 1966 Atlanta
Braves
Exclude Ed Sadowski
Ed Sadowski played with Ted Williams for the 1960 Boston Red
Sox
Interesting that it did not find a chain within the Red Sox.
