Last night I was about to go to bed, but I checked GameDay to see if the game had restarted. It was the bottom of the ninth and Papelbon was pitching. He struck out the first guy. Then he gave up a single. I said, "I'm not staying up for this," it could take forever.
I'm glad I went to bed. Loading the bases and then striking out the remaining two batters is just a little too much drama.
