Maybe I'm a glass half-full kind of guy (I know - growing up in NE that's a misnomer) however we are 2.5 games ahead in WC race and 6 games behind arguably the best team in several years which we've already agreed has a solid lineup. If we can win games with performances like last night by Beckett and Pap, then are we not sitting 'dead red' for Sept and Oct to be another solid 2 months of Red Sox baseball?
Perhaps all those years of sitting on the sidelines in Oct, followed by this decade of 2 WS has made me loopy but I'm excited by our prospects for the playoffs and still firmly 'believe' we can hold on our against the Yanks. BTW: Kasmir just got picked up by the Angels, so the Angels are obviously feeling they need some punch when they get to Oct against us.
