Peter Abraham had this in his notebook today -

When Hideki Okajima gave up two runs on five hits in two-thirds of an inning
Sunday in Seattle, it cemented his position as

one of the worst relief pitchers in the American League.
Among relievers who have thrown at least 20 innings, Okajima has the
fourth-worst WHIP (walks and hits per

innings pitched) at 1.97. Lefthanders are hitting .389 against him and the
first hitter he faces is at .389.
Okajima allows a .378 batting average with runners in scoring position and a
.409 average with men on base. In high

leverage situations, points where the game is on the line, teams are hitting
.404 against him with a combined on-base

and slugging percentage of 1.073.

In nine appearances since June 22, Okajima has a 10.57 ERA and teams are 21 of
42 against him.

Speaking of bullpen...

Did you watch the game yesterday? Okajima has really lost it. He just can't
get anybody out. And his fielding on those bunt plays was just miserable.
Delcarmen has been pitiful as well. We could really use some bullpen help.
