Strange. As I've stated earlier, the championships of 2004 and 2007 have actually dampened my enthusiam for the Sox. I'm still a fan, just not nearly as rabid as I once was.
But I'm insanely excited about this trade. Yes, he's a great player and that's reason enough to be excited. But I haven't been this thrilled about an acquisition since the Sox got Schilling (or maybe even Pedro.)
