My colony has both White polyps and some off-white polyps.  Probably due to
part of the coral being in an area partially shaded.  Under the full MH's,
the polyps are off-whiteish.  If the polyps are extended, and show no other
signs of distress, then I wouldn't be too concerned...just keep an eye on
it.
I usually see some type reaction to some corals when I add something new to
the tank (IE change an additive)  I get the biggest reactions from my
Xenias, and usually the reactions are due to iodine.  They seems to be
sensitive to the type of iodine and the amount used.
