I dont know much about shrimps, is a candycane a nice addition for a reef
tank.

Thanks Paul, I was concerned about that. The percula that I have know is
kinda small, the tomato would be a larger fish. Do you think the percula
would stay away because the tomato is larger. Or would the tomata take
advantage of the small percula.

The clowns will fight...pretty certain of that.
depending on the tank size....may or may not be a problem.

Hello everyone, I just stumbled upon a guy in the local paper that has a
tomato clown and a royal gramms for sale. He also has a candycane shrimp.
I
have a percula clown, green chromis and a 4 stripe damsel. Does anyone
know
of any potential problems of mixing these fish, its a 100 gallon tank.

The deal here is not if it will support....but whether it will sag. I had a
70 gal that I set up and it was level with a spirit level. This was also
upstairs. After 6 months the floor had sagged, and the tank with it.
Styrofoam helps, but on a large tank the problem is cracking from a sudden
bump or other incident. This becomes more likely with a larger heavier
tank.
Paul.

Just an extra 2 cents. If you really wanted to be sure you could look it up
in just about any do it yourself construction book. Building a deck would
be
a good one. Usually it will list different loads and what kind of support
you will need.

Well a water bed is spread out over at least a 4 x 6 or 6 x 6 area, a tank
is only in a 11/2 x 6 or 2 x 4 area, or similar. Puts alot more lbs per
square foot in a small area.
