Garlic has worked for me. I bought a bangaii cardinal and in the Q tank he
developed ich. I just took some fresh garlic and crushed it in a shot glass.
Then i poured off all the liquid and soaked food in it. Fed that concoction
once a day until all spots were gone. Then i kept feeding it for another
week. Cardinal was fine, no other fish got ich. The fish only lived another
week before a powerhead chopped it up.
