I have a mag 24. It has always made noise, and after about 3 months of use,
the impeller broke and all the blades came off. I know I am the needle in
the haystack, but it does happen.... Anyways, the impeller is being
replaced and hopefully I will not have this problem again... as far as the
pump, it is very strong and seem to be reliable.

I have a mag 900 on my tank and it works really well, almost too
well. Mine
is submersed, I once heard someone say they have a slight tendency
to leak
at the seal if run externally.
