I don't recall seeing a thread similar to his question, and just wanted to
get the lists opinion. I have a 55 gal fish/reef tank. I have a few
corals but more fish. I have a 3 bulb 36 inch VHO lighting system. I
evaporate about 1 gallon or so a day. I was thinking about adding glass
lids to the top of the tank to reduce the water exposure to the air thus
reducing the evaporation rate. I know that my temperature will probably go
up, and I am prepared to deal with that. My question is, do you think
that the glass with reflect too much light therby decreasing the
effectivness of the VHO system. I am not too inclined in the area of light
physics, and would like the list's help.
