Champion Lighting carries a cheaper model. Larry Jackson mentioned it at
MACNA a couple years ago (if I am remembering correctly :-) and I tried
one on my 75 gal tank. Worked pretty well (didn't add heat to tank!) but
it doesn't come with a bracket. I thought it was pretty secure in a corner
of the tank so I didn't do anything to keep it there and my spouse
accidently knocked the pump into the tank. I haven't used it since, it is
in a pile to check whether it still works, someday... I think there is a
caution about saltwater that comes with the pump, but can't remember now.

I can't find them on the Champion Web site
(http://www.championlighting.com/) right now, but I'm pretty sure they
still show up in their print ads in FAMA. I have the Oct 2000 FAMA issue
here at work (someone gave me an extra copy) and the pumps are pictured in
the ad on pg 116. Descibed as "MAX pumps", 2 models: 600gph and 800gph

Hope that helps. Good luck.

LEAVING THE LIST

To stop receiving messages you will need to send a message to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] with a command to remove you from the list. The list
manager controls who belongs to the list.

For example:
 --------------------------------------------------------------
       From: John Doe <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
         To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
    Subject: <not needed>

    UNSUBSCRIBE
