OK, here goes,
The Tunze powerheads we are referring to are the "Turbelle" series.
Made in Germany by Tunze, these pumps feature the lowest power consumption of
any comparable pump. They are completely submersible. They can be used as
ciculation pumps and/or filtration pumps in a variety aplications.
Features include :
High efficiency, low motor heat
The magneto-ceramicrotors of the motor run on aqueous filter bearings- wear
resistant and quiet.
Small, light, and easy to handle.
Low power consumption
includes suction mount.
These are tested to assure no detrimental effects on micro-organisms
The Turbelle centrifugal pump are designed especially for aquarium use. They
combine the advantages of a high performance, low power consumption pump with
reliability. Several advantages are gained by placing the motor out of the
water. Zero heat-transfer from pump to aquarium, and these are maintenance
free.
Reefgar's price : 600 gph model......$200 each
900 gph model......$239 each
