IME the use of cupper as a preventive medication is
not that good, I have use it a long time ago and it did'nt work, the level of
cupper than you need is 0.3 and it is too close to toxic levels, the good thing
to do is to try to keep your water condition the best you can, mostly your PH (
8.2-8.4) and your nitrates (<25 mg/l) when I did that never had a problem, a
skimmer and a UV are good things to have too.
I'd also recomend a digital PH meter, and to
measure it every day.
