I am having some major problems with my SPS corals and I fear the worst.
Last week, I sent email about a purple acro frag that had some spots on it,
which I thought were caused by caluerpa that had grown against it. A
suggestion to get some dip and dip it was given, and I did exactly that. I
am still waiting to see if it is going to recover. In the mean time, I now
have tissue recesion on about 5 other frags/colonies of sps corals in the
tank. Mostly acros, but one of my pocilopora(sp) has it also. I noticed on a
large colony 2 days ago, and it since has spread on that colony very rapidly
and I am afraid that colony is doomed.

Last night, I dipped all the frags that I saw the spots on, and did some
tests. I have no idea what the hell else to do, but pray that they recover.
I have no idea what has caused this, but need to know if anyone has ANY
suggestions. Tank parameters are as follows:

Salinity: 1.022 - 1.024
pH: 7.9(night) - 8.2(day)
Calcium:420-450
Alk: 4.0meqs/11.2dkh
Nitrates: 0
Temp: 79-80 constant

Lighting:MH/VHO Combo - 10 watts per gallon

Additives are as follows:
SeaLab 28 calcium blocks
Aquarium Systems alk buffer (added daily via drip)
Iodine (daily)

Anyone have any thoughts or suggestion?? Should I run some carbon? Maybe
there is some type of toxin causing problems? I dont know what it is, but it
is frustrating, I know that!

TIA
Shane C.
