I dont remember the model of the top of my head, it comes with its own pump
tho you wont have to buy anything else to get it to work. It is a venturi
type I believe. Like I said before it pulled pretty good on my 100 gallon so
for you 30 I would think it would be ok. It is a external hang-on type.

actually Jose, I have a skimmer I could sell you. Yes once again we have
the shipping issue tho. I was using it on my 100 gallon tank and although
finicky to get adjusted when it was dialed in it would pull lotsa gunk.

I bought a skimmer to use it on my 30 gallons cube tank. It is an amiracle
style skimmer. I only can say It is junk.
I am seriusly thinking to use the collection cup and tube of that skimmer to
build a new one, but the bak pak I think is my best option. I can do it with
glass, so....
The most important thing is to build the cheap and very usefull skimmer.
Maybe a Ronns design will help me to design mine, but the most important
thing is get a skimmer that wil not use a big pump, only a powerhead as Rio
600 or 800 with the venturi kit include it.
Any Idea?

to bad, but I can sypathize with you Jose. I am in canada and only live
couple hours from the border. That couple hours might as well be 500 when
you try to get stuff shipped up here. Like you said double/triple the cost
or they just wont ship at all. I would glady drive down to the states but
unfortantly the closest big city to me is Minneapolis which is a good 12-14
hour drive away.
