I recently started dripping kalkwasser into my tank. I do not do very many
water test on my tank but because I started the kalk I have been measuring
my pH. It seems to be dropping from what it always has been. Like I said I
don't do much testing because it was always the same. For the first year I
tested pretty regular and everything came back the same alway 8.3 pH. I
can't be sure what the pH was before I started dripping Kalk but shouldn't
the kalk keep the pH up? Any suggestions on how to get it back to 8.3?
Also I sent an email asking about suggestions for a calcium reactor a little
while back and didn't get any responses. Would a calcium reactor help with
the pH? Any suggestions on a brand for a 125gal tank (actual system volumn
about 200 gallons with sump and refugium)
