Hello all,
A few days ago my Colt corals started to disintegrate! There were 3 about
the size of 2 fists. Then my anchor started to die, then yesterday am my
blue tang the I've had since 1985 died, and over night...yellow tang, yellow
wrass, mandarin gobby, lawnmower blenny all died!! All water parameters test
normal except pH which is at 7.8! Other corals seem OK. Clown & Rock Beauty
are eating normal...there all that's left!
Did a water change Sunday of 10% when things started to go bad. Started an
external filter & a diatom filter to catch small parts of the Colt that are
disintegrate! The dead fish from this morning had a clear jelly like cocoon
around them...nothing I've ever seen before! Also smells nasty! I have a
sea apple, but it's been in the tank for 5-6 months it looks OK but has
become a lot smaller. The tank is 75 gal. I have tested for Nitrates -0,
Calcium -425, Alkalinity -3.5, Ammonia -0. That's all the test equipment I
have!
Thanks for your help!!
