i would suggest that you clean all the substrate and remove all possible
organic matter, since it will consume a lot of calcium and therefore, reduce
your buffer capacity and make it more difficult to raise your ph.
a water change would be recommended, and add kalkwasser

You may have exhausted any reserves in your system, and thus are barely
keeping up with the demands of the tank. Try using 1.5 times the amount the
product calls for and watch your pH. You want to raise it slowly. Is what
will possibly happen, is by adding 1.5 times the amount, is it will replace
what the tank uses plus build a bit of reserve. After a period of time, you
will not have to use as much. If 1.5 doesn't help after a couple of days, go
to 2 times.

Also, doing a nice large water change (and maybe a substrate vac) will help
remove some of the acids that may be using some of the buffer you are
putting in. Also (and I am sorry about your fish loss), with less fish in
the tank, less acids will be produced, which will help you get your pH back
in check a little. Right now though, get the apple out, change water and run
carbon.

What type of buffer do you use? Do you add it all at once or do you drip
dose it?

IMO,
Shane
