why did you ask if you didn't want an honest answer? 2 florescent tubes is
no way enough light for a tirdacna maxima, no matter what size tank. Maxima
clams come from a zone which is barely 1-2 feet of water. They live on rocky
plateus that receive a TON OF LIGHT. Nothing I can say will make you change
your mind. You have already shown that. Also, clams are not for small
tanks, they can easily deplete the water of nutrients and calcium.
So in conclusion:
1. You have inadequate light
2. You have inadequate filtration
3. Your tank is way to small for an anemone or clam
4. You will not listen to others' opinions
