Larry,
Had you used any medications in the quarantine tank that the rock came from?
That may be a problem if you medicated, then took the rock from quarantine
to the display.
Next, had you fed, and if so, how long from the time you fed until the time
you noticed the shrinking anemone? As Chris mentioned, they will deflate and
look horrible for a bit while they are trying to expel waste. Even my little
tiny one does that, and the bigger the meal I feed, the worse he looks when
he poops!
If it is responsive to you touching it, and is still attached, then let keep
trying to feed it. Try silversides or some table shrimp.
