At first, it sounds like a nudibranch, but I have NEVER heard of one of
those eating crabs, or live fish or anything like that. They are generally
slow moving and dont cause trouble with anything that can move out of their
way. 

Now, there are a couple of speices of predatory snails (sorry, dont remember
the name) that will eat fish, and may possibly go after your crabs as well,
I suppose. I saw these guys on a discovery channel show, and they were
pretty nasty. Did it have any type of shell at all?? 

Any ways, if you have not already, you should get it out of the tank. If you
have witnessed it being agressive towards your crabs, who knows whats next!?
