Hi,
I also am about to supplement my 120 gal reef with a refugium. At the risk of jinxing myself, all's well with the tank currently, but I'd like to supplement the system, probably with a reverse daylight cycle. I'm kinda drawn to the idea of a DSB in the refugium (but scared of the horror stories, so not in the display tank). The refugium will likely be set up as part of a newer, larger sump I'm working on. That will be about a 40 gallon sump tank total. Any leads to DIY plans using such a tank in a dual role? I'm assuming I'll just inset a smaller (15-20 gal) plexiglas refugium and plumb it in so that the turnover rate is significantly slower (and light it of course). All suggestions welcome! (especially for sites with drawings of such a setup) and what, in addition to culerpa should I keep in it.
TIA
Larry

Subject: Refugium setup

What is the best setup for a refugium and is it worth it? Any suggestions? Does anyone use the CPR Aquafuge with the Miracle Mud setup?

Thanks
John
