Tracy,
Mushrooms are low light loving animals. They do well with minimal lighting,
couple watts per gallon. What lights do you currently have on your tank, and
what size is your tank? You will want to place them so that you can see
them, and so they are getting some light. The only other thing you will want
to do is add a little iodine to the water. They like that. To be safe, you
should also purchase an iodine test kit to make sure you dont OD the tank on
iodine. If you are doing regular water changes, that may be enough iodine
addition to keep them happy.
Feather dusters are filter feeders and will need some food in the water
column. You can add DTS pytoplankton, and if you feed frozen foods, some of
the smaller particualtes should help feed it as well. They do just fine in
low light.
