Tracy   After re-reading your post I realized my reply really didn't answer your question. Adding caulerpa to the tank is easy, no acclimation required, but floating the bag to let the temp equalize can't hurt. Then just put it wherever you want, it will grow almost anywhere as long as it gets some light & root into rock or sand.   P.S. Did you have any luck with your test kits.   Chris
