I
think I will stay away from Mandarins, or at least until I have a large
population of pods. I thought they were doing pretty good until I got a shipment
from IPSF today & their pods are 10 times the size of
mine.
The
serpent star is a different issue because I already have one. I put it in after
my cycle to keep food particles off the bottom & it has done a good job but
it is growing fast & eating more aggressively. When I was adding the pods to
the tank I saw the star catch something & eat it, it may have been one that
died in shipping or something else even but now that I have a detritivore
population I think the star will do more harm than good so I will be trading it
in.
