Back in November, the folks at Lullabot did a great podcast on the top 40
Drupal modules:

http://www.lullabot.com/audiocast/lullabot-podcast-80-top-40-drupal-modules-revisited

The easiest way to see the must have drupal modules is to go to the
following URL:

http://drupal.org/project/modules?solrsort=sis_project_release_usage%20desc

This is all the Drupal modules sorted by usage.
