Hey Matt,

That list looks good, though you wouldn't need all of them all the time. If you have no custom fields or views, some simple sites won't, then don't install those modules. Same with others on the list, if you don't need the functionality, don't overload ;-)

The challenge for users going from Wordpress to Drupal is content editing. Wordpress WYSIWYG is so wonderfully intuitive (I think) and in Drupal, most clients add HTML tags themselves for the basic stuff. Uploading images is a chore comparatively as well. If I am just building a blog, I'd use Wordpress. But for many other things, Drupal is great. I recommend that you create and install and add some pages/content, see what you think.

Hi,

I see that Nick Lewis posted the following article on 1/4/2010:
http://www.nicklewis.org/40-essential-drupal-6-modules

Are there any other modules that those of you that work with Drupal
6.x regularly deem essential? I develop websites that individuals/
organizations can maintain themselves. I have been using Wordpress
but am wondering if Drupal (appropriately configured) might be better.

Thanks,
