I also have Blue Cross with a $5k deductable. I think it's a good choice because they have arrangements with many doctors so when you go to a doctor/specialist the rate is usually lower than it would be otherwise. Sometimes $60 instead of $250 for a visit. So even though I pay cash myself for every visit because of the deductable, having the insurance means I end up paying less because I get the blue cross rate.
Before that I had State Farm and it did not have this advantage. __________________________________ Do, or do not.
