You're wanting to be able to work with both videos and images? I would second Paul's recommendation for the NextGen Gallery plugin, though it's usually specific to handling images. (Very well, by the way.) http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/nextgen-gallery/ I don't see why it couldn't be hacked to also manage videos, though.
