Hey Alex - 

It might be overkill - but I've used Appcelerator Titanium for prototypes as 
well as for building out the entire App. It's dev environment is cross platform 
for iOS and Android ( blackberry and nook too) and the dev environment works on 
windows and Mac ( iOS requires Mac)

Full disclosure - I just took a job with AppcelerAtor starting next week :)
