Sounds like you're getting up into ecommerce territory. Amazon and Google
might be good places to check out -- they scale well (I have a Drupal
hosting company using Amazon for a newspaper hosting). Both of those also
have, I believe, supplier and logistics solutions (duh, Amazon!) that might
be helpful to you.
