Got a question about accepting donations through an IOS device. Apple bans in-app donations via IOS. This makes me sad.
So I need to get creative to make myself happy, and non-profits to boot. 1) People can 'like' a certain project. 2) A like can be given a value with points, i.e. 1pt, 3pts, 5pts, or 10pts. 3) On another website you can create an account and tie your points to your money and give each point a dollar value. i.e. 1pt = $1, and so on. Thus, when, through the app give a project a "Like" with a point value, but without directly giving money, but by setting-up automatic payments, via another site (Our donation site), the back-end knows that equates to a certain dollar amount. This in effect makes it not an in-app purchase. While it requires the donor to set-up an account outside of the App, they only need to do it once. Would this pass Apple Scrutiny? It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure.
