I appreciate the distinction and I use "GNU/Linux" when it's applicable. 
When talking about Plash I usually need to refer to interfaces (ABIs and
source-level interfaces such as Unix/POSIX) rather than collections of
software.

Plash interacts specifically with the Linux kernel, so I believe I'm using
the term "Linux" accurately.  On the other hand, Plash provides the glibc ABI
to sandboxed programs, so this might warrant referring to "GNU/Linux" in the
first paragraph in my summary.
