La Kaella (Knoppix Linux Azur) est une distribution Linux qui tient sur un
CD et fonctionne sans rien avoir à installer sur le disque dur de votre PC.
Il s'agit donc d'un système d'exploitation complet, fourni avec tous les
logiciels nécessaires à l'utilisation d'un PC : navigateur internet,
messagerie, suite bureautique, lecteurs multimédias (images, photos, sons,
vidéos), jeux, etc...
La Kaella est basée sur la distribution Knoppix : certains logiciels ont
été supprimés, d'autres ont été ajoutés, mais surtout elle a été
francisée. Ce n'est pas un "fork", car elle est reconstruite à chaque
nouvelle version de la Knoppix, pour profiter au maximum des dernières
nouveautés.
