######### REGISTRATION DETAILS #########

Full Name:
----------
  Ewe Extensible/Embeddable WebDAV Engine

System Group Name:
-----------------
  ewedav

Type:
-----
  Programs

License:
--------
  GNU General Public License V2 or later

Description:
------------
  A simple and extensible WebDAV server written in Java. Ewe is intended for
embedding in another web application, but can be used in a standalone
configuration. Ewe is not yet complete; however, it is intended to be DAV
class 1 and 2 compliant.

Ewe is intended to be an alternative to Jakarta Slide
(http://jakarta.apache.org/slide/); Ewe does not aim to be as featureful or
as powerful as Slide. Instead, Ewe is intended for use as a simple but
extensible WebDAV interface to an applications. Developers can embed the Ewe
library in their app, write a Namespace, and map and configure the Ewe
WebDAVServlet to a path in their webapp. That's it.

Ewe uses the Spring container (http://www.springcontainer.org/) for
configuration services.

Currently, the code is stored in a private Subversion repository
(http://jmibanez.mine.nu/svn/ewe/trunk/)

Other Software Required:
------------------------
  (Currently, the code needs the Sun Java 5 JDK; however, it should be easy
to trim out the parts that use the new Java 5 syntax.)

* Servlet 2.3 container (recommended: Apache Tomcat 5.x)
* Apache Ant (for building)
* SAX
* Spring Container (in particular, spring-beans.jar, spring-context.jar,
spring-core.jar, and spring-web.jar)
* Velocity Templating Engine

Other Comments:
---------------
  The current source code is being maintained in a "private" Subversion
repository -> http://jmibanez.mine.nu/svn/ewe/trunk/
