Description:
------------
The aim of the project (named fsg3) is to made a strategical turn based
game engine (2d graphics) with some editors who let anyone to made a game
without programation.
fsg3 manage games up to 8 players, for the moment only on the same computer
(a network system could be added later), each player can be an human or an
ia.
The aim of game is to capture the 'house of the government' (name can be
changed) of all ennemies. Units management is like 'Age of empire' : one unit
is really one 'person' unilike 'Heroes'. But as 'Hereos', resources are
collected with buildings.
Evolution may be by ages (as 'Age of Empire' like games) and by upgrading
each buildings with levels (as 'majesty'), as game developers want.
A module (ie a game based on fsg3) is a set of units, civilisations, maps,
graphics, and settings, and can be (for the moment) fully writted with
editors (and without programmation), except for the main menu of the game.
But, to improve possibilities of fsg3, many python scripts can be added to
add special powers, effects, etc.
All details are on our wiki (http://fsg3.filyb.info - almost fully in french)
curently hosted on my website. With some friend, we have begin the development
of a module (game based on fsg3) wich is also on the wiki, but I want to split
the two projects, and I may register this other project here later.

Other Software Required:
------------------------
fsg3 is programed with gambas ( http://gambas.sourceforge.net/ ), and use
the followed gambas components (due to the limitations of the stable
versions, we only use the development version of gambas, 1.9.x version - all
gambas component are under the GNU/GPL):
-gb(runtime gambas2)
-gb.eval
-gb.form
-gb.qt (and so qt)
-gb.qt.ext
-gb.qt.kde (and so kde)
-gb.qt.kde.html
-gb.sdl (and so sdl)
-gb.sdl.sound
-python
NB: kde is only needed because fsg3 use khtml to display some instruction at
the begining or the end of the game. Another way to display this informations
may be developed, to make fsg3 independant to kde. And if this is do, thanks
to gambas2, it may be possible to compile fsg3 with gtk in spite of qt. Since
I begun the development, a graphical SDL component was born, and (in a far
futur ;-) ) the GUI may be rewritted with SDL, to simplificate dependencies.
NB2: python is only needed for the scripting possibilities. It should be
possible to use fsg3 without python...
