==== Description: ====
FireFighter is a Mozilla Firefox extension which aims to assist in
countervandalism efforts on the English Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/
for start, other languages may be included later).
It is supposed to fill a coverage gap with regard to such tools - similar
software
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Recent_changes_patrol#Monitoring)
exists for Windows (based on .NET framework), but any free software projects
are in experimental phases and often have elaborate dependencies (Java 6 or
Mono).
The core of the program will be an IRC client that connects to the recent
changes feed and processes incoming events with user-defined filters.
The user interface will be modeled after Web Developer (i.e. a toolbar that
pops up at the bottom of the screen).

Technically, no code exists except some XUL-"Hello, World!" preliminary
testing, which is available for download at
http://users.geekshells.org/~misza13/

==== Other Software Required: ====
Mozilla Firefox web browser
